Ring Lost in Jacmel?
Cyvadier Plage, Jacmel Beach, and the Art City's Caribbean Shoreline — Recovery Specialists
Jacmel is unlike anywhere else in Haiti — a UNESCO Creative City with a 19th-century French colonial old town, a vibrant arts and carnival culture, and a stretch of accessible Caribbean coastline backed by mountains. It draws independent travellers, artists, and weekenders from Port-au-Prince seeking one of the most atmospheric beach destinations in the country. Cyvadier Plage, just east of the city, is the most popular resort beach. Jacmel's own town beach is rawer and more local. Ti Mouillage and Raymond les Bains are quieter, harder-to-reach gems further along the coast. If your ring was lost along this shoreline, we're here to help.
On Call Across Jacmel and the Southern Coast
Jacmel sits on Haiti's southern coast, about 85 kilometres from Port-au-Prince via a winding mountain road (around 2 hours by car). The city's beach zone is compact — the main Jacmel Beach is within walking distance of the historic centre, and Cyvadier Plage is a 10-minute drive east of town, tucked behind a rocky headland with calm turquoise water and a small resort.
The coast east of Jacmel opens up to a series of less-visited beaches — Ti Mouillage (a small cove popular with locals), Raymond les Bains, Kabic, and the more remote stretches toward the Tiburon Peninsula. Each has its own character and loss profile.
We cover Jacmel and the southern coast and respond within **2–3 hours** from our nearest team location.
We serve all areas of Jacmel, including:

Common Search Locations in Jacmel
Cyvadier Plage
The most visited beach hotel in the Jacmel area. The cove is sheltered, with calm water and a mix of fine sand and gravel. Hotel guests swim, snorkel, and sunbathe here. The beach bar and lounger area sees consistent ring losses, and the relatively contained cove makes searching efficient.
Jacmel Town Beach
The town's main public beach is broader, less sheltered, and sees a mix of local residents and visiting guests. The waves are more active here — Atlantic influence reaches the bay during swells. The sand composition is dark and volcanic in character.
Ti Mouillage
A small cove east of Jacmel, reachable by road and popular with local swimmers. The sheltered water is clear and shallow. Losses here tend to be undisturbed for longer — a smaller, quieter environment.
Raymond les Bains
Further along the southern coast, Raymond les Bains has a long, wide beach with consistent wave action. Weekend visitors from Port-au-Prince and Jacmel use this beach for day trips. The energetic surf and beach parties make this a known ring-loss zone.
Hotel Terrasses and Jacmel Waterfront Hotels
The historic waterfront hotels — Hotel Florita, Hotel Cyvadier, and similar properties — have pool and beach access that generates losses in pool-deck transitions and beach walks.
Why Choose Ring Seekers Jacmel?
Southern Haiti Coast Familiarity
Jacmel and the southern coast are our territory. We know the road access to each beach, the tidal behaviour, the sand types, and the tourism patterns specific to this part of Haiti.
Arts Festival and Carnival Timing
Jacmel's famous carnival (pre-Lenten, typically February) brings thousands of visitors and generates significant ring loss on and near the beach. We see a spike in calls during festival periods and are prepared for it.
Boutique Property Coordination
Jacmel's hotel scene is boutique and personal. We work directly with hotel owners and staff — at Cyvadier, Florita, and other properties — who know their guests and can help us gather timing and location details.
Independent Traveller Sensitivity
Jacmel attracts experienced, independent travellers who appreciate a professional, no-fuss approach. We communicate clearly, arrive equipped, and search efficiently.
Cyvadier Cove Expertise
The sheltered cove at Cyvadier is one of the most predictable beach environments on the southern coast — we know the sand profiles, the tidal zones, and the underwater topography. Rings lost here have an exceptionally high recovery rate.
Multilingual Service
We communicate in English, French, Spanish, and Haitian Creole — covering the full range of Jacmel's visitor base.
Understanding Jacmel's Search Conditions
Dark Sand Composition at Town Beach
Jacmel's town beach has dark, volcanic-origin sand — heavier and coarser than typical white Caribbean beach sand. Ring signals from gold and precious metals are very strong in this substrate, and items sink to a consistent depth rather than being carried by wave action.
Sheltered Cove Conditions at Cyvadier
Cyvadier Plage's headland creates a natural shelter. The cove sees minimal wave action and the bottom is a mix of fine sand and small gravel. Items lost here stay close to where they fell.
Atlantic Swell Influence
Jacmel's town beach and Raymond les Bains face more open water. Seasonal Atlantic swells, particularly October through March, can stir the surf zone. Losses in active wave areas should be reported quickly.
Carnival and Festival Periods
Jacmel's beach zone during carnival week is at maximum capacity. The combination of crowds, beach parties, and water entries dramatically increases ring losses — and the window for an undisturbed search is very short during these periods.
Remote Beach Access
Beaches beyond Ti Mouillage require either a 4WD track or a boat. We advise on the most practical access approach when you contact us.

FAQs – Jacmel
Can you search Cyvadier Plage?
Yes. Cyvadier is our most requested Jacmel location — the sheltered cove and clearly defined beach make it one of the more straightforward searches in southern Haiti. Contact us as soon as you notice the loss.
I lost my ring on Jacmel town beach during carnival. Is recovery still possible?
It's possible but the window is narrow during peak carnival. The beach is heavily used during the festival period. Call us immediately — even a day-after search has yielded results when the loss location is well-known.
Can you reach Raymond les Bains?
Yes, though this is a longer drive from our base. Allow 3–4 hours for response depending on road conditions. Raymond les Bains searches are best reported as early as possible.
What's the water clarity like at Cyvadier?
Cyvadier has excellent water clarity — one of the clearest coves on the southern Haitian coast. This aids visual detection before we deploy electronic equipment.
How much does the service cost?
Pricing varies depending on what's involved. Reach out by phone or WhatsApp with the details of your loss and we'll explain the cost structure transparently before any work begins. We process payment by card.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payment is exclusively by credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard).
Do you have any experience with the southern Haitian coast specifically?
Yes. The Jacmel and southern coast are part of our established service area in Haiti. We're not visiting from Port-au-Prince as an afterthought — we know this coast.
I'm a foreign visitor staying at a Jacmel hotel. Can you coordinate with my hotel?
Yes. Jacmel's boutique hotel community is close-knit and we work directly with property managers and concierge staff. Your hotel can facilitate the call or confirm our arrival on your behalf.
